MARCH : Resting in the Promise of New Beginnings

After a long winter, March arrives as a quiet invitation. The past few months have been heavy—filled with challenges that may have left us feeling weighed down or disconnected. And yet, as spring begins to emerge, it brings with it a subtle, yin energy. It’s like peeking out from the shelter of a cave to feel the first light, reminding us to unclench and take a deep breath in gratitude for the longer days ahead and the quiet stirrings beneath the surface.

The truth is, growth isn’t always about doing. Sometimes, it’s about creating space to receive. To sink deeper into what is already here, trusting that the shifts we can’t see are just as important as the ones we can. Our intentions will unfurl when the time is right.

As we step into this next season, let us also remember the power of our words. There is something deeply transformative in how we speak about ourselves and the life we want to create. Words are the first seeds we plant in the soil of our future. This is a time to begin speaking into existence the things we desire, whether in quiet affirmations or bold declarations, and trust that each word is part of the foundation we’re building. This is still a season for stillness. For honoring the foundations we’ve already laid—and for trusting that what is meant to bloom will do so in its own time, at its own pace.

SEASONAL WISDOM : SPRING/WOOD

Spring is here, and with it comes the lively energy of the Wood element, urging us to step into the trust we've quietly built over the winter. We're in a transition—a moment where everything we've nurtured in the stillness of colder months is now ready to move forward. This isn’t about rushing; it’s about allowing ourselves to gently harness the momentum that’s beginning to rise.

The Wood element calls us to connect with the Liver and Gallbladder, guiding us to refine our vision—not by pushing, but by choosing with intention, rooted in the trust we’ve been cultivating. It’s a time to pause and consider what’s starting to form within us, and to make space for those quiet stirrings to unfold naturally.

This season asks us to move into this new phase with patience, honoring the energy of growth without forcing it. It’s about trusting the process, knowing that we don’t need to do everything at once. This is a season of preparation—aligning with the momentum that’s already building, making mindful choices that are grounded in the wisdom we’ve gathered. As we enter Spring, we do so gently, rooted in what we know, and ready to step forward when the time is right.

EMOTIONAL THEMES

Spring, and the Wood element, are all about the Liver and Gallbladder. It’s a time to reflect on vision, clarity, and that delicate dance between action and stillness. Wood invites us to dream, to make plans, and to begin planting seeds for the future—but before we can fully move forward, we need to pause. Remember what we let go of in the Fall? What things no longer served us—so that the space was made for something new to grow.

Now, those quiet stirrings are beginning to rise. Sometimes, it’s about giving ourselves permission to feel into what’s coming, trusting that the shifts are already taking place beneath the surface, even if we can't see them yet. So this season, let’s try taking it slow, listening to the rhythm of growth, rather than rushing ahead to the next thing.

POINT OF THE MONTH : LR3 — GREAT RUSHING

Liver 3, or Great Rushing, is our point of focus this month. Located on the top of the foot, between the first and second toes, and slightly up toward the bony prominence, LR3 invites us to release the stagnation that may have built up over time, gently clearing the pathways for the smooth flow of Qi. As spring begins to unfold, this point helps us loosen what may be holding us back—both physically and emotionally—creating space for the fresh energy of the season to move through us.

The Liver is deeply connected to the emotions of benevolence, anger, and frustration. LR3 offers us a way to navigate these feelings by harnessing their power and allowing them to flow with purpose. It’s about trusting that the energy we carry can guide us, if we let it move freely, rather than holding on or letting it overwhelm us.

HEALING PRACTICES

This month, explore practices that nourish your Liver—those that combine reflection with somatic movement. Create space to move your body intentionally, whether through dance or simple, mindful movement. Shake out what’s stirring within you, and allow the energy to rise and move, without trying to control it. Let your emotions flow and trust that they will guide you exactly where you need to go.

If you’re feeling a the stir inside of you this month, honor it. It’s the beginning of something new, even if it hasn’t fully shown itself yet. Trust that the shifts are happening, and they’re working in their own time.

TAROT FOR TRANSFORMATION

MARCH THEME / THE EMPEROR

The Emperor card in tarot is one of power, structure, and the quiet force that helps us build a lasting foundation. In the Rider-Waite deck, we see The Emperor seated on a grand throne, confidently holding his scepter, which represents authority, stability, and the weight of responsibility he carries. His presence is solid, unshakable—like the steady hand that guides us through the work of bringing order to chaos.

But here’s the thing: This card isn’t about rushing headfirst into action or forcing things to move quickly. Instead, it’s about slowing down and creating a strong, grounded base that will support everything that follows. In a world that often glorifies fast-paced success, The Emperor teaches us that true power lies in building something that will stand the test of time, patiently laying down the bricks that will become the structure of our lives.

The Emperor asks us to trust in the wisdom of experience, reminding us that authority comes not from control or force, but from deep self-trust and the ability to make intentional, measured decisions. There is strength in knowing that every decision, every move, is aligned with the bigger vision of who we are and where we are headed. The Emperor shows us that true leadership is about standing firm in our own values, while knowing exactly where we can direct our energy and where to hold back.

At this time, you may feel the need to step into your own authority. You might sense that it’s time to claim your space, take responsibility for what’s within your control, and lay down the groundwork for your future. This card calls us to focus on what we can build, protect, and nurture—not just for others, but for ourselves. The Emperor isn’t concerned with things that lie outside of his reach; his focus is rooted in creating something of lasting value, brick by brick, choice by choice.

HOW TO MOVE WITH THIS ENERGY

This month, as we sit with our theme of The Emperor, I invite you to reflect on where you need to take charge in your own life:

What structures or boundaries do I need to set in order to create a solid foundation for my future?

Where can I step into my own authority with confidence and trust?

The Emperor encourages us to approach our goals with discipline, clarity, and patience. While it’s easy to get distracted by the hustle and bustle, this card reminds us that true success comes from steady, focused effort aligned with our core values. Lean into practices that build a sense of groundedness—whether it’s setting clear intentions, creating boundaries, or organizing your time and space. Trust that every action taken with intention is a step toward building the empire of your life.

PRODUCT OF THE MONTH : P.F. CANDLE CO. No. 19 PATCHOULI SWEETGRASS INCENSE

I’ve always believed that the tools we choose for our healing are just as significant as the practices themselves. Every item in our Shoppe has been carefully selected, as it’s something that’s deeply supported me on my own journey.

This month, I’m sharing my favorite P.F. Candle Co. No. 19 Patchouli Sweetgrass Incense, which carries with it a fragrance that invites us to slow down and breathe deeply. The grounding richness of patchouli meets the soft, sweet energy of sweetgrass—two scents that together create a balance of deep earth and uplifting spirit.

Sweetgrass has long been held in sacred space by indigenous traditions, especially among wise women, who braid it as a symbol of connection—of past, present, and future. As the sweetgrass burns, it’s said to clear away stagnant energy, offering a soft but potent clearing, inviting in lightness, peace, and a sense of grounded renewal. It’s a beautiful way to invite the feminine clearing energy into your space, a reminder of the power in gentleness, the strength in stillness.

Patchouli adds its own warmth to the blend, a deep, earthy note that reminds us of our roots and our connection to the earth. Together, these two create a soothing, balanced aroma that invites calm and focus, helping us to stay present in the sacred space we create.

This incense isn’t just about fragrance—it’s about honoring the traditions of the wise women before us, and creating space for the energy of release, growth, and renewal to fill our lives. It’s an offering to ourselves, to our healing, and to the feminine energy that flows through all of us.

IN GRATITUDE, ALWAYS

Thank you for being here, for walking with us through this quiet, unfolding season. As we step into Spring, I’m filled with deep gratitude for this space we share, and for you showing up in it. This season invites us to listen deeply—to the parts of us that are beginning to grow, and to the parts of us that are quietly still. There’s no rush here, only the call to soften, reflect, and to trust in what is unfolding.

Whether you're feeling the beginning of something new or honoring the space between what was and what will be, I hope that you find moments of peace, clarity, and a sense of being held in the process. Know that, wherever you are, you're not alone. We are all moving through this season together, each with our own rhythms, our own pace.

Sending you love, patience, and trust that everything is unfolding as it should.

With heart,
WAKE Collective
