FEBRUARY: Holding the Space Between
Welcome,
I’m so grateful you’re here. This is the first of many monthly blog posts from us at WAKE, and I’ve been sitting with the idea of creating this space for a few years now. It’s a project that’s been growing quietly, and it feels like the right time to finally share it with you. Each month, this newsletter will hold space for both reflection and offerings — a place for insights and offerings to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you’re looking for wisdom, tools, or a reminder that you’re supported, know that we see you, and are here for you. My hope these words find you in a place of peace and presence, and that something here resonates with the season of life you’re in.
This month, I’m feeling a quiet, almost reluctant pause in the air. Like we’re all in the middle of something, but not entirely sure what that something is yet. It’s like the process of rewriting a deeply held narrative—not necessarily about loss, but about letting go of the version of ourselves we thought we were supposed to be. It’s the grief of releasing a story we thought would define us, but realizing that we’ve outgrown it and are stepping into something new.
It’s messy, this space. Tender. Uncertain. And I keep asking myself: how do we move through this when we’re not entirely sure where we’re going or who we’ll be when we get there? But here’s the thing: maybe that’s okay. Maybe we’re not supposed to have all the answers right now.
So this month, I’m sitting with the question: How do we show up in the unknown?
It’s not about fixing or forcing things into place; it’s about staying open to the possibility of something new—something we haven’t yet learned to name. We don’t need to know exactly where we’re headed or how we’ll get there. Maybe we’re just meant to be here, in this in-between, trusting that even in the messiness, we are still moving. And sometimes, that’s all we need to know.
NEWS & UPDATES
We’ve officially settled into our new home, and I’m honestly still in awe of how it’s all come together. The process has been deep and transformative, and I’m excited to share that we’ll be moving upstairs into our permanent home on the 7th floor in April. This new, larger space will open up even more possibilities for healing, growth, and community.
I’ll be sharing more details about the space in the coming months, but one thing I’m especially excited about is introducing new practitioners who will be joining us with some incredible somatic offerings.
Think :
Himalayan Sound Therapy: A deeply grounding practice, where the vibrations of the bowls work through your body’s energy, bringing a sense of stillness and recalibration. It's an invitation to feel into your own rhythm, allowing your body to settle and realign.
60- and 90-minute Deep Tissue Massage: More than just physical relief, this work creates a space to let go of stored tension, to unwind from what we carry, both in body and mind. Each stroke is a return to yourself, a way of gently coaxing the nervous system to remember what ease feels like.
Individualized Lymphatic Drainage: A subtle, yet profound support, encouraging the flow of energy and release of stagnation. It’s not just about physical detox—it’s about giving your body the space to shed what’s not serving you, making room for renewal.
Occupational Therapy: A practice rooted in presence, guiding you to move with intention and mindfulness in the everyday. It’s not just about functionality, but about honoring your body’s needs and rhythms, helping you find balance and ease in the way you live and move through the world.
These offerings are rooted in the essence of what WAKE is all about: supporting you on your journey of holistic wellness. Each practice is designed to meet you where you are, nurturing not just the body but the heart and soul, too. Starting March 1st, you’ll be able to book these sessions, with availability opening up in April. We are so excited to share these deeply transformative practices with you as we continue to expand the space we’re holding for healing—together.
A Call to Practitioners: If you’re a practitioner who feels called to be part of something deeper, we’d love to hear from you. At WAKE, we’re carefully curating a space where healing can happen authentically and with intention—where the energy and values align not just with the work we do, but with the people we serve. We’re looking for those who understand the importance of holding space in a way that’s heart-centered, grounded, and truly aligned with our mission.
We want to invite practitioners who are deeply committed to this collective, to creating a space where every person who walks through our door feels truly seen, heard, and supported. If this resonates, if you feel like you’re the right fit for this community, email us through the contact form — let’s connect.
SEASONAL WISDOM : WINTER/WATER
We’re in the season of Winter, the time when the Element of Water reigns. This season is a invitation to slow down, turn inward, and nourish ourselves from the roots up. It’s a time for rest, reflection, and rejuvenation, as we surrender to the deep pull of the Earth, knowing that renewal is unfolding even when we can’t yet see it.
Emotional Themes
Water governs the Kidney and Urinary Bladder meridians, and with it comes an invitation to reflect on the deeper currents of fear and trust. Fear often arises when we’re disconnected from the flow of life, when we forget that we’re held by something much larger than our individual experience. The energy of Water asks us to look beyond the surface and soften into trust—deep trust—the kind that runs through us like an ancestral current. Trust isn’t just something we find in the present moment. It’s something that runs through our lineage, through the very bones of those who came before us.
Point of the Month : KD1— Bubbling Spring
At the heart of this Water energy lies Kidney 1 (KD1), known as Bubbling Spring. This point, located on the sole of the foot, is where we connect to the deep ancestral current that anchors us below the Earth. KD1 is more than just a grounding point—it is an anchor. It is the point where we drop into the profound, steady trust that runs beneath all things. It’s the energy of our ancestors, the wisdom of water, holding us in place even when everything else feels uncertain. When we press into KD1, we’re not just grounding into the present moment, but anchoring into a timeless lineage of resilience, strength, and wisdom. It’s the quiet support of those who’ve walked before us, whispering, “You are not alone.”
Healing Practices
During Winter, take time to nourish your kidneys with practices that reflect the deep, restorative power of this season. It’s a time to focus on anchoring rather than just grounding. Anchoring is about rooting deeply into something profound, something that holds us steady even when the surface is turbulent. Let your movements be slow and intentional, and allow time for stillness and reflection. Winter is about renewal, about honoring the space between seasons—the dark, fertile soil where unseen growth is taking place. Trust that by honoring the pause and embracing stillness, you are making space for new energy to rise.
TAROT FOR TRANSFORMATION
Each month, I’ll pull a card with the intention of guiding the collective energy that will support us in our shared journey. These cards offer a mirror to the energy we can tap into—showing us the wisdom available to help us align with our highest selves. As I draw, I trust that the guidance will meet each of us where we are, bringing what we need most in this moment.
FEBRUARY THEME / EIGHT OF PENTACLES
The Eight of Pentacles in the Rider-Waite tarot deck shows a craftsman, hammer in hand, absorbed in the quiet repetition of his work. He’s not rushing toward the end result; instead, he’s present with each small, deliberate motion. It’s a card that invites us into the humbling power of consistent, focused effort—the kind that doesn’t shout for attention but slowly, steadily builds something meaningful. This isn’t about giant leaps or sudden breakthroughs; it’s about showing up day after day, making space for the small details, and trusting that the act of creating, of tending to what’s in front of us, is just as transformative as the finished product. Growth, here, is not something we force—it’s something we nurture patiently, with care, and with intention.
The Eight of Pentacles is urging us to dedicate ourselves to the task at hand—whether that’s our personal healing, our work, or our relationships—with the same intention and steady effort the craftsman applies to his craft. The card invites us to slow down and take pride in the process, not just the result. Each strike of the hammer, no matter how small, brings us closer to something greater.
It’s also a card of renewal after uncertainty. When life feels out of balance, it’s easy to want to rush ahead and fix everything at once. But the Eight of Pentacles asks us to remember that true change is born of steady, deliberate action. Whether we're rebuilding our lives, our practices, or simply ourselves, the work we put in now is laying the foundation for what’s to come.
“Every step you take, no matter how small, is an investment in the future you’re building. When you show up for your practice, your work, and yourself, you honor the process and trust that growth happens in the smallest of moments.”
- Tarot for Change by Jessica Dore
How We Can Move with This Energy
This month, as we sit with the energy of the Eight of Pentacles, I invite you to ask yourself:
Where can I bring patience, consistency, and care into my life right now?
How can I show up for the work of healing, growth, or creation, even when it feels slow or uncertain?
This card asks us to lean into practices that ask for our focus and presence—whether that’s journaling, meditating, crafting, or any form of creative expression that feels right for you. Remember, even the smallest acts of care are investments in the future you’re becoming. It’s easy to forget when progress feels quiet or hidden, but trust that every moment of effort is weaving something meaningful. Let the energy of this card guide you to stay in the process, to remain present with the unfolding, knowing that what you’re doing now is building the foundation for what’s next.
PRODUCT OF THE MONTH : BHAVA ELDERBERRY SYRUP & FIRE CIDER
I’ve always believed that the tools we choose for our healing are just as significant as the practices themselves. Every item in our Shoppe has been carefully selected, as it’s something that’s deeply supported me on my own journey.
This month, I’m sharing two simple but potent offerings that nourish both the body’s natural flow and our seasonal need for release and renewal. Much like how water carries us through the emotional currents of winter, these products help cleanse, restore, and rejuvenate us from the inside out.
Elderberry Syrup
Bhava’s elderberry syrup is a sacred ally during the colder months. Revered for its immune-boosting, antioxidant properties, elderberry syrup offers a gentle but powerful way to support your body’s defenses. But beyond that, it’s a reminder that when we slow down, tend to our needs, and nourish ourselves, we create space for healing and transformation. Just as water discharges what we no longer need, elderberry syrup helps clear congestion, releasing any lingering heaviness—be it physical, emotional, or energetic. It’s a soft, grounding way to clear the path, making space for new energy and vitality to flow.
Fire Cider
If you’re feeling stuck, heavy, or in need of a little fire to move through what’s weighing you down, Bhava’s Fire Cider is here to support you. Crafted from apple cider vinegar, garlic, ginger, and hot peppers, this powerful tonic invites us to release, clear, and ignite transformation. It’s a fiery reset for the body, one that dissolves tension, clears stagnation, and brings warmth where we need it most. Just as fire burns through obstacles, Fire Cider works to increase circulation, support digestion, and clear out the stuck energy that can hold us back. It’s the catalyst for bold, transformative release—helping you surrender to the process of renewal with courage.
Together, Bhava’s Elderberry Syrup and Fire Cider support the delicate balance of nourishment and release—Elderberry Syrup offering soft, grounding support, and Fire Cider inviting bold, active transformation. When you work with these two, you create space for both the gentle flow of healing and the bold power of renewal. These products are available in shoppe, and will be available online come April 2025.

I feel such joy in knowing that these words, these practices, and these offerings can support you in the ways you need most right now. Whether you’re stepping into the unknown, honoring the quiet, or rebuilding from within, I hope that something here feels like a gentle nudge toward what’s next, and a reminder that you are never alone in the process.
As always, I’m here. If you need support, if you want to share what’s moving inside of you, or if you simply need a reminder that you’re held, reach out. There is always space for you here.
Sending you love, patience, and the courage to move through what’s unfolding with grace.
